No.1888! SEMCORP Was Listed On Forbes Global 2000 for the First Time

SEMCORP honorably graced the “2022 Forbes Global 2000” ranking recently released by Forbes, claiming No.1888—a whopping 520-place leap compared to last year, which showcases the company’s steadily rising global competitiveness. This is the first time SEMCORP is listed on the Forbes Global 2000.

Compiled by the globally well-known financial publication—Forbes magazine, “Forbes Global 2000” is one of the enterprise rankings drawing the most attention. This year’s ranking is based on the comprehensive data analysis of sales, revenue, assets and market capitalization from the consecutive 12-month period ending on Apr. 22, 2022, and conducts a thorough appraisal on every public company around the world before selecting 2000 of them with the best performance.

Cracking the ranking means SEMCORP’s outstanding performance in 2021 has been afforded recognition, which incisively displays the company’s comprehensive strength as a worldwide leader of its industry and as a vanguard of the real economy.

In the past year of 2021, SEMCORP had a real operating revenue of 7.982 billion yuan—a year-on-year growth of 86.37%, a net profit of 2.718 billion yuan distributed to parent company—a year-on-year growth of 143.6% and a net profit of 2.567 billion yuan excluding non-recurring gains and losses—a year-on-year growth of 159.17%. Meanwhile, SEMCORP had an excellent opening in Q1 of 2022 by having an operating revenue of 2.592 billion yuan—a year-on-year growth of 79.62%, and a net profit of 916 million yuan—a year-on-year growth of 111.92%.

At present, SEMCORP ranks first in the world by output of lithium-ion battery separator and has established domestic and overseas production bases in Shanghai, Wuxi, Zhuhai, Yichungaoan, Suzhou, Chongqing, Hungary, etc. As more and more of the new production lines—added this year—are put into operation, the overall capacity of SEMCORP will be upgraded to a higher level.
